Description
Boat marine hawse pipes are fittings used on boats and ships to guide and secure the anchor chain or rope as it enters and exits the vessel. They are typically made of stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials and are installed on the bow (front) of the boat or ship.
Hawse pipes are designed to provide a smooth and clear path for the anchor rode (chain or rope) to pass through the hull and into the anchor locker or anchor well below deck. They also prevent the rode from chafing or damaging the boat's hull, and help to maintain a neat and tidy appearance by keeping the rode out of the way when not in use.
Hawse pipes come in different sizes and styles depending on the size and type of boat or ship, and can be mounted flush with the deck or at an angle to accommodate the angle of the rode. Some hawse pipes also feature built-in rollers or fairleads to further guide and protect the rode as it enters and exits the vessel.
